Analyzing Windows Code

Before analyzing source code, ensure the correct tables are loaded:

• Select the Tables pull-down from SMART2 Source Migration window. Select the Current Table Info... pull-down.

• SMART displays the Current Table Information informational dialog.

  The SMART Filename in the SMART Table Filename group box should be WIN32OS2.TBL. The User UDMD Directory in the User UDMD Migration Data Base Directory group box should be SMART\SMARTAUX\DAPIE32.

  a.

  If both are correct, click on the Ok push button and continue.

  If you need to change these fields, follow step Creating the Open32 UDMD.

  Go to the Analysis pull-down.

  Select Analyze Source Code.

  • Leave the defaults in this window 
    Select a different LST file by either:
    
    a.
    Typing a different LST file in the List-of-Files entry field using the full path name
    b.
    Click on the Select push button next to the List-of-Files entry field to see a dialog for selecting a new LST file.
    Click on the Process push button.

    SMARTdisplaysaprogressinformationaldialogtoshowtheprogressoftheanalysis .

    SMART displays an initial analysis report in the SMART2 Source Migration window.

    Toseeotheranalysisreports ,gototheFilepull - downandchooseOpen / ViewFile ( s )
    8.
    The file with the extension RPT is the code analysis report. Select this report. Click on the Open push button to view the report.

    SMART displays the report in the SLink - The Smart Editor window. Use the Help pull-down on this window to get information about reports.
