Real-World Programming with OS/2 2.11
--------------------------------------

This file contains important information, including
installation instructions.

Information about the source code
----------------------------------
All the examples on this disk have been tested thoroughly
using Borland C++ 1.5 for OS/2, IBM's C/Set version 2.0,
and Watcom's 10.0. The only known trouble at the time
the book went to press was some difficulty with the DLL
application (Chapter 12), using the Watcom compiler. The
sample will compile, link and run using Borland and C/Set.
Using Watcom, the link fails.

You will need the OS/2 Development ToolKit to compile the
source code if you are using the Zortech or Watcom compilers.

Installing the files
---------------------
To install the files on this disk to your hard drive, run
the INSTALL.EXE program found on the floppy disk. INSTALL is
a Presentation Manager program.

You'll be able to select several options on the opening screen
of the install program:

	* Where the software will be installed on your hard drive.
	  The default location is C:\RWPOS2.
	* Which software components to install. All components will
be installed unless you choose otherwise.
	* Creation of a folder by the install program.

When you are ready, select Install. The program will notify you
when the installation is complete. To install all the files on
the disk, you'll need at least 2.5M of free space on your hard
drive.

If you choose to install only some of the software, and you
choose to create a folder, do not select Create folder when you
run the install program again. Otherwise, a duplicate folder
will be created on your desktop.
